The first amendment in the Bill of Rights states that the congress cannot make any law that restricts the establishment or exercise of religion. Also amendment one states that congress cannot abridge the freedom of speech, press or the freedom to assemble with peace.
Amendment 2

Amendment two of the Bill of Rights states that people have the right to bear arms. In other words. people have the right to own and buy weapons.
Amendment 3

Amendment three of the Constitution states that no soldier can be quartered in any home without the permission of the owner at a time of peace or war. During many other wars, soldiers were allowed to break into anybody's house to stay, but this amendment restricts that act.
Amendment 4

Amendment four of the Bill of Rights states that nobody can search others property, houses, papers, and people for unreasonable causes. People have the right to their private property, and can keep it private. Others are banned from unreasonable searches of one's private property.

Amendment five of the Constitution states the protections for people who have been accused for a crime. Criminals may not be deprived of life liberty or property. The government must follow correct constitutional paths in court cases and when taking actions against others.
Amendment 6

Amendment 6 explains that during a trial, the jury must hear the wittness and the evidence before one is proven guilty. This is known as a speedy, fair trial. This amendment also states that legal counsel must be given to a defendant.
Amendment 7

The seventh amendment guarantees the right of trial by jury in all law suits. Also, this amendment states that any fact that is tried by the jury cannot be reexamined after a conclusion is made.
Amendment 8

Amendment eight prevents citizens from getting punished very cruelly or unusually. For example, amendment eight saves people from getting their arms cut off for robbing a bank. The consequences or punishments given to a criminal should be respective to the degree of the crime they have commited.
Amendment 9

The ninth amendment states that people have more rights than those mentioned in the Bill of Rights. In other words, just because the Constitution gives people some rights, those are not the only rights that people have. For example, if the Constitution does not state anything about the right to wear Nike shoes then people can still wear them.
Amendment 10

Amendment ten is the last amendment in the Bill of Rights. It states that powers that are not given to the national government are distributed among the states, or the people. this protects the country from a government that is too powerful.
